PhD Openings in Information Security at George Mason University



The Volgenau School of Engineering (http://volgenau.gmu.edu/home) at the Geo
rge Mason University (GMU) has multiple PhD RA positions in Information Tech
nology with concentration in Information Security starting from Fall 2015. T
he application deadline is March 17, but applicants are encouraged to apply
earlier.



The successful candidates are expected to conduct research on one or multipl
e subjects in the area of cybersecurity including: security and privacy of c
yber-physical systems, cognitive wireless/mobile networking and security, an
d network forensics. Candidates with EE, CS, or other relevant backgrounds w
ill be considered, and an earned Master degree is preferred. A solid backgro
und in any of the following is a plus: cybersecurity, wireless networking/co
mmunication, machine learning, networked control system, software defined ra
dio, and system implementation. Previous research experience is a plus but n
