Openings:
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame (http://cse.nd.edu/) is seeking one or two PhD student(s) to work under the guidance of Dr. Dong Wang (http://www3.nd.edu/~dwang5/) starting from Spring/Fall 2016.
Prospective students with a M.S or B.S degree (or expected by the time of admission) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields are encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on exciting research projects in emerging areas of big data, networking and systems, and network science. Examples include: (1) Big data analytics, Reliable information distillation systems, networked sensing; (2) Cyber-Physical Systems with humans-in-the-loop, Smart Cities, Internet of Things (IoT); (3) Crowdsourcing, Social sensing, Mobile sensing applications. (4) Network science, Trust analysis in information and online social networks. Preferred candidates are expected to have a strong background in data analytics/ statistics/math/distributed systems/networking and/or solid system implementation and development skills.
