Ph.D. openings @ ASU in power and energy area

Prof. Jiangchao Qin is seeking several highly motivated students with great passion in power and energy area to join his research team as Ph.D. students (with full financial support) for Spring/Fall 2016. The research areas focus on power electronics, power electronics based power generation/transmission/distribution systems, HVDC/MTDC and DC grids, wide bandgap-based converters, microgrids, grid integration of renewable energy resources, electric drives, and energy storage. ASU is the lead university of Power Systems Engineering Research Center (PSERC).  Its electrical engineering is ranked 27th (USNEWS Graduate School 2015) and 19th (NRC R-Rankings of ECE Ph.D. Programs).
