The reading passage and the professor are all talking about genetically modified trees.The lecturer holds the view that it is bad to plant this kind of trees.But the reading material has a opposite view.
To star with,the professor points out that if the climate or environment has change greatly,the genetically modified trees will complete wipe out.As this kind of trees are uniform,they have resistance in only a little kinds of condition.
Furthermore,genetically modified trees can't bring much economic profits to planters.Because in every time they plant this trees,they need to pay the company.In fact,it costs a lot.Even though,this kind of trees can grow faster.Actually,the people who grow normal trees just pay for once,but the genetically modified trees have to spend more in this aspect.
Moreover, planting genetically modified trees will destroy the natural trees.It is because that genetically modified trees grow more quickly and absorb more water underground.The resources are used by the modified trees.It is a disaster for natural trees.
So we can know that,maybe genetically modified trees is not as good as the reading material said.
