School life plays the pivotal part of the student’s life for they have to absorb knowledge and get education from classes.Thus,there are some voices recommending school to expand school time to 11 months in order to let students gain better education.However,from my perspective,the suggestion is unreasonable and even will exert the counter effect.

Firstly, if students are asked to have classes for 11 months of a year.surely there will be less time for activities out of classes,which are equally essential to the education of each student.Without the out-class practice,it is of great difficulties to apply abstract theories to the real application,therefore,those theories are nothing more than merely words in books.Bill Gates,the richest man in the world,set up the Microsoft which is now the biggest software vendor.Surprisingly,in his college time,he dropped off in his second year in Harvard and attempted to devise the software and opened his owned company.Although he missed the classes in the college,he still got improvements contributed to his practice out of class. Finally,he succeeded in contriving windows operating system.Obviously,it is those practice experiences out of the class that molds him into a success man and is regarded as the idol by numerous young adults.

Secondly, with 11 months to study of a year,students,undoubtedly,reduce their enthusiasm to study.If learning likes driving a car,enthusiasm functions as the fuel that promotes the car.How can a car in lack of the fuel run fast and steadily on the road.On the contrast,only if the car is filled with the fuel will it reach its top speed.What’s worse,running without enough fuel,the car will not only fail to reach the destination but also probably suffers severe damages.Equally,enthusiasm is imperative to students’ study.

Admittedly, some people argues that 11 months to study can provide students broader knowledges.However, the more knowledges students are instilled does not necessarily mean the better education they will achieved.Education is what can enable students to be expert at specific area that they are interested in.Nevertheless,too many kinds of knowledges entail them less attention to the specific subject they adept.Statics in a recent research shows that over 90 percent children are unable to simultaneously handle several subjects.In that case,excessive fields of knowledges will overwhelmed students rather than benefits their education.

Generally speaking, 11 months of class of a year cannot be rendered as a good decision.Scarcely can better education equal to more class hours.It is the enthusiasm for the study and chances to practice that school need to pay attention to rather than the longer semester.
