The two pie charts above show the energy use in the United States and theresidential energy use respectively.

From the first pie,________________________________.

The second pie illustrates the situation of energy consumption in the part of residential use. It is obvious that the heating and air conditioning is on the top, 62% of energy is used for them. 15% of energy is consumed for heating water. Small appliances account for only 10%. The remaining 13% goes tomiscellaneous items such as cooking.

To conclude, from the above two pie charts, we may have both a macro and a micro understanding of the fact of American energy consumption.
