v Position Objective:
This job description is intended to outline the key areas of responsibility related to the role of Financial Project Analyst. The duties outlined are not exhaustive and may change from time to time or be extended. The Financial Project Analyst will report to the External Finance Manager and is primarily responsible for managing and completing ad-hoc tasks and small projects related taxes and finance activities for an extremely demanding client. The ideal candidate will have in depth understanding of accounting systems, as well as tax and financial accounting principles, combined with business analysis and problem solving skills this role will share responsibilities for ensuring that ad-hoc projects are successfully managed and completed within agreed timelines.
The current job duties may be conducted without a procedure manual and the candidate should be prepared to develop and manage off board and on board processes and orientation manuals.
v Duties & Responsibilities:
ü Overall responsibility of this role will include the management of regular scheduled and ad- hoc tax and finance related projects.
ü Analyze and evaluate projects and task requirements to notify Global Managers and staff on potential risks.
ü Responsible for managing all activities related to filing Tax Forms 1099 and 1042, Tax Summary Filing, reissuance’s, troubleshooting, responding to queries, validating and testing tax files.
ü Design and monitor projects work, organize project team meetings and perform follow up activities.
ü Provide guidance and advice to client teams with all details regarding finance projects, gathering data as need it to provide support as required.
ü Requires in depth understanding of accounting systems and financial accounting principles
ü Proactive client relationship management and development in relation to financial aspects of the client projects.
ü Understanding financial testing platforms and ability to get up to speed quickly on new systems.
ü Ability to work with small teams across multiple sites. Working with project managers and business consultants to complete project requirements validations and sign offs.
