Professor Xin Li at Johns Hopkins University has an opening for a Ph.D. student starting Fall 2014, in the area of theoretical computer science. Dr. Li is a member of the theory group (http://www.cs.jhu.edu/research/theory-programming-languages/) at the Johns Hopkins Computer Science Department. His current research interests include pseudorandomness, approximation algorithms/hardness of approximation and cryptography. Students are expected to have a solid background in computer science/mathematics and a strong interest to work in theoretical computer science. Admitted Ph.D. students will have full financial support in the form of fellowship/TA/RA.
