Project Description:
RollsRoyce@NTU Corporate Lab is seeking one Research Fellow, one Research Assistant, and one PhD student for the project of “Framework for Rapid Simulation of Complex Business Systems”. The project is led by Dr. Xing Zhenchang and Dr. Liu Yang in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
The goal of the project is to develop novel approach for encapsulating high-level business knowledge and logic of a given application domain in patterns and frameworks, which can be reused and be applied to describe a process for a given business in the domain and to simulate the execution of the business process. Research fellow will be involved in requirement analysis, literature survey, framework design and development, and case studies in the project. Research Assistant will be involved in framework design and development and case studies in the project. PhD student will focus on theoretical foundation and system design of the simulation framework and the modeling tool.
Both RF and RA contracts are 1 year starting immediately and renewable to 4 years based on the performance.
PhD student will be supported by a four-year full PhD scholarship. Qualified candidate can be admitted in August 2014 intake.

Requirements for Research Fellow
PhD degree in computer sciences, computer engineering or related discipline
Demonstrated competence in one or more of the following areas: software engineering (particularly requirement analysis), formal methods (particularly formal modeling), agent-based modeling and simulation, business modeling languages, business and software patterns, model-driven development.
Good software development skills
Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory
Requirements for Research Assistant
Bachelor or Master degree in computer sciences, computer engineering or related discipline
Experience in model-driven development, business and software patterns, simulation software (e.g., AnyLogic)
Good programming skills
