Heat transfer physics in organic semiconductors (1PhD)
The project is about using 3-omega and thermoreflectance method to characterize the heat transportation in organic/metal thin film, and investigate the thermal related device stability and degradation problem.
Applicants should hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics or related disciplines. They should have solid experience in simulating heat transportation and experimental skills on thermal characterizations. Candidates with previous experience in thin film device fabrications, semiconductor processing, SEM or AFM is preferred.

Organic sensor devices (1PhD)
The project is about developing the next generation of “electronic skin” for robotics, bio- medical, or electrical engineering applications. The candidate will fabricate various kind of organic transistor and diode sensor arrays on flexible and biodegradable substrates.
Applicants should hold a undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics or related disciplines. They should have solid experience device fabrications and characterizations. Candidates with previous experience in flexible electronics, semiconductor devices and solid state physics is preferred.

For the PhD positions, other than the standard PhD fellowship package, suitable candidates will also be recommended for the HK PhD fellowship scheme supported by the HK government.
