This message is for graduate students who are interested in pursuing Ph.D. studies in wireless networks or cyber security in the United States starting Fall 2015.
The Complex Networks and Security Research (CNSR) Laboratory at Virginia Tech is directed by Professors Tom Hou and Wenjing Lou, who are both IEEE Fellows.

The laboratory conducts pioneering research in wireless networks and cyber security. Perspective students may choose to enroll either in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Department of Computer Science (CS) at Virginia Tech.
We prefer to recruit graduate students who meet the following requirements:
- M.S degree in ECE or CS no later than Summer 2015
- Excellent academic standing
- Experience in research
- Interest in either wireless networking research or cyber security research
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interest in a research and academic career
