Adult life which requires many abilities lets parents make efforts to cultivate their teenage children lots of skills.In order to adapt to the adult life well,some parents incline to encourage their children to take a part time job,which is considered to be one of the best approaches that help them fit in the future adult life.However,from my perspective,hardly can a part time job be quailified as the best method.

Firstly,doing part time job will exert a bad influence on children's study.Intelligence is the base of teenage children's future life.For instance,Emma Watson,who is the actress famous for her performance in Harry Potter,insisted on stopping her work and went back to campus to continue her study even though she has earned a big sum of money.Emma was addmitted by the Brown College and is loved by most audiences.With the help of knowledges she learned in the college,she is able to design a detailed and ideal blueprint of  her adult life.However,if she just abandoned her study and continue her work,chances are that,like many stars, she will be misled and take drugs or be addicted to the alcohol.

Secondly,doing part time will reduce the time to make friends.Friends are attached vital significances in adult life.Friend likes the thick coat warming people in the chilly winter;Friends like the safe harbor providing children in a heavy storm;Friends like mirrior reflecting children's mistakes clearly.Under no circumstance can children live without friends.Friends are always people's best support in the life.On the contrary,if children are insulated from friends,they will be easily helpless and be overwhelmed by difficulies in the adult life.

Some people may encourage children to do a part time job for it can help them to better fit in the work in the furture.However,it is not the case.A survey for the college students who have taken a part time job shows that over 90 percents of them are asked to do some tiny works,like typing or buying meals,which do not benefit their future work at all.Even those college students who have received some professional education are still in lack of competence to deal with the important work in the company.This is why most managers are unwilling to take risks to let them do some importance job.Thus,those part times jobs do nothing more than waste teenage children's time.

Generally speaking,doing a part time job can not be the best way to help children to prepare their adult life.It is absorbing sufficient knowledges and making various friends that help them achieve a good adult life.
