PhD opportunities available at The University of Queensland (UQ) School of Chemical Engineering. The applicant must have passed IELTS (overall 6.5, and 6.0 for each sub-test), with a Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated research experience or Master’s degree earned or expected in Physical Chemistry, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Priority will be given to those with international journal publications. The candidate will work on gas hydrates with applications in energy recovery and greenhouse gas reduction.

UQ Chemical Engineering was ranked in the top 16 worldwide in the 2012 QS subject rankings for chemical engineering and was the top ranking school in Australia. It was also given the highest score awarded for chemical engineering in Australia in the recent ERA National Report.
