Since the primitive society, it has remained unchanged that parents who give birth to their children play vital roles in their children’s life.Some people are in agreement with the view that parents are the best teachers while some other people contradict it.As for me, significant as parents are in kids’ life, hardly can they be qualified as the best teachers for the following reasons.

Firstly, most parents lacks not only the comprehensive knowledges but also the skills of teaching.From one research in the late 20th century shows that over 90 percent of parents regard the school as the optimal choice of the place for their children to learn things.And it is said in one survey that about 80 percents of parents who have worked for several years are no longer familiar with what they learn in the college.They are unable to remind the knowledges in their major,needless to say the ability to teach their children.Also, almost every famous university like yale or Cambridge set the apartment focusing on education.and people in many countries including China are required to obtain the teaching certification if they want to educate others,both of which indicate that teaching is not so easy that people untrained can be capable of doing.Without the systematic training process and abundant knowledges,it is unreasonable to consider parents are the best teachers.

Moreover, parents’ time is occupied with endless work, meeting or the business trips,which fails to makes them the best teachers.For instance, Obama, the president of the United States,has to deal with numerous problem every day.Seldom is he available to teach his children knowledges.However,good teachers are asked to devote themselves to students.Only if they pay attention to not only their mastery level of knowledges but also their mental conditions will they come the best.Busy people most parents are obviously cannot afford large amounts of time to entirely notice the situation of their children.Consequently parents are playing any other roles rather than best teachers.

As some one states, it is parents who obtain the deepest love to their kids that makes no one but parents the best teacher.However, it is not the case.It is true that love from parents are impressive and moving.Unfortunately, those deep love are like the green house while the kid likes the flower growing in the green house.Though the green house provide perfect living environment to those flowers,ranging from pleasant temperature to sufficient nutrients, it is harmful to them if flowers never leave the green house.They are suitable to the ideal environments and consequently are lack of competence to survive outside.What if one day they are removed from such perfect environment?

Generally speaking, regarding to the lack of enough knowledges, systematic education methods and the plenty of times the statements in the title is untenable.No matter how respectable parents are, they are far from be competence in becoming the best teachers.
