A four-year PhD scholarship is available to apply in Division of Systems Engineering and Management at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. The PhD scholarship is dedicated to the research of the next generation of air traffic management systems. Singapore’s unique geographical location makes it a very convenient travel hub for air traffic. As global business activities shift their focus towards the Asia Pacific region, a steep increase in air traffic is expected in Singapore over the next two decades. It is in Singapore’s national interests to develop and utilize world class Air Traffic Management Systems in the following decades.
The students with Operations Research or Automatic Control or Aerospace Engineering background are encouraged to apply for this PhD scholarship. Several requirements and preferences are listed below:
1) Four years commitment
2) GRE>=310 and TOFEL>=88 (or IELTS>=6)
3) Master's degree (preferred, but not required)
4) Air traffic control background (preferred, but not required)
5) Experience with Stochastic Simulation, Mathematical Modeling and Mathematical Programming
6) Experience with Matlab and C++
